I'm happy to be alive today because of cousins.
Today, for the first time in my life, I met one of my cousins. Given that he is about three years old, it was not without some excitement and chaos - surely essential ingredients for a first encounter. We live on opposite sides of the globe, so opportunities to see each other will be few and far between, as is the case for most of my family. Even though the reason we're all in the same place at the same time is an incredibly sad one which I'd rather didn't exist, sometimes it's good to have someone, for example a very bright young cousin to help you remember that there are always some good things to see if you look.
I'm in a bit of a different time zone than my normal one at the moment, so updates may vary as to when on each day they come, but I will do my best to keep on track.
