I'm happy to be alive today because of hot apple cider.
Seriously, it's like an apple pie in a cup. How did I not know of this before?
I know there have been quite a few food-related posts recently, but if there's one thing you should probably know about me, it's that I love food. Hopelessly, madly and forever. I may need to eat less of it every so often, but nothing will taint my love of delicious food. So you may be seeing a few more posts about food to come. It's something important to me and my family, so it features highly in my happy-inducing list. I'll do my best to keep from overlapping, at least obviously.
But anyway, I had my first cup of hot apple cider today, and although I don't think I would be able to drink it very often, it definitely hit the spot today. It helped that it was nearing freeze-your-tits-off cold, which always necessitates a hot drink, in my opinion.
It's not so good when the cider gets cold, in my opinion, whereupon it just tastes like apple juice. Since I'm not a fan of most juices, you can imagine how pleased I was to learn this.
Still, worth it.
