Day #14

I'm happy to be alive today because of sitting around and talking over the dinner table.

My family seems to have a lot of traditions: making sales staff laugh; loving food; throwing napkins, but possibly the best one is our dinner conversations. We all sit and eat dinner together, which is a rare thing these days, and we can easily turn any meal into one that takes several hours for a single course. We talk about our days, problems that came up, things we thought were interesting, thoughts that sparked off of something someone else said, pretty much anything. It's one thing that I deefinitely wouldn't trade for anything, and especially not for the 'normal dinners' that so many other people have, where everyone kind of grabs food when they're huhngry and then vanishes, or sits in front of the tv and don't say a word. I know that it might not work for everyone, but I'm glad it works for us.
