I'm happy to be alive today because of rushed dinners actually turning out ok.


Much better than the alternative.

I'm happy to be alive today because of getting something done.

Even if it's small, it's always nice to have accomplished something.

I'm happy to be alive today because of finding something you thought was lost.




Also, wow do I suck. I must figure out a better way of remembering to post here.

Day #42

I'm happy to be alive today because of musicals.

I do love musicals. Pantomimes are also high on my list of loves.

Day #41

I'm happy to be alive today because of shared ridiculous music tastes.

Sometimes it's nice to have someone who will be on your side when you get mercilessly mocked for your playlist content.

Especially when it comes to your Zombie Apocalypse playlist.

Day #40

I'm happy to be alive today because of laundry baskets.

I never knew how many different styles of laundry baskets there were. It's kind of fun to look at them all.

Day #39

I'm happy to be alive today because of big doors.

Huge doors are, let's face it, pretty darn cool. Sometimes they're so cool that the rest of the building fails to live up to them.
I like huge doors. I think you have probably worked that out by now. I don't appreciate them enough.
So today, I stood and looked at some freaking huge doors for about ten solid minutes (and got a few strange looks, but that's the price you pay for appreciating the world around you). And it was good.

Day #38

I'm happy to be alive today because of flowers.


There's a lot that you can say with flowers. But sometimes, you should actually say it at the same time.

Day #37

I'm happy to be alive today because of theme songs.

The right theme song, properly timed, can make you see a person in a whole new light.

Day #36

I'm happy to be alive today because of sympathies.

Sometimes you think that nothing can make you feel better, but then you get to sit down and talk with someone who, while not involved in your issues, has gone through an experience which can, through listening to it, be very cathartic for you. It doesn't always work, but when it does, the experience is invaluable.


Also, wow do I suck at being better at this. Further steps are necessary.

Day #35

I'm happy to be alive today because of surprising opportunities.

Sometimes, I suspect that a whole heck a lot of life has to do with being at the right place at the right time. Although you could always say that everywhere is the 'right place' and you simply make the 'right time' your own darn self.

But either way, whichever philosophy you prescribe to, it's always nice when something happens in your favour.

Day #34

I'm happy the alive today because of crossing things off my list.

I like lists. I make a lot of 'to do' lists in particular, which aren't terribly useful when I lose them, but up to that point, they're pretty handy. And they're relatively useful for motivational purposes - you can never again say that you don't have anything to do. Which has it's downsides.

Hope you're all being even more productive than I am!

Day #33

I'm happy to be alive today because of overly dramatic television.

I swear that people amplify their worst personality traits whenever they see a camera. It's been preconditioned in us all.


Also, I've missed a day of posting because I suck and I'm sorry. I will do my best to be better.
